Bike ride in volcano country. Via Verde from Rectoria Miquel de la Pineda.

A kid length and almost flat ride between La Rectoria de Miquel de Pineda and Les Planes d'Hostoles... a section of the Via Verde in Garrotxa, inland from Girona.  For me, the ride was pie, even though I don't know how to bake it.  I'm sure I'll be back in the late summer with the apple trees and berry bushes ripe for pick'n.   And then I'll finally try Sally's recipe she told me even a fool could make.  Felt the one percent grade coming back, but a stop for ice cream in Sant Feiu de Pallerols --totally cute, no tourists  -- did the trick.  Only one and a half hours from Barcelona, we stayed overnight anyway.
