Ride through the fields

Sometimes it is just way too crowded on the beach or you don't feel like the up and down trails in the foothills.  Or you want to escape the traffic, not ride in it.  The Via Verde bike paths replaced train tracks in lots of pretty spots in Spain.  There is only one near Barcelona, an hour east.  Start at the town Llagostera, perfect car park on the right just after the crosswalk.  There's a bar, a bike shop, and the trail runs right there.  Head towards Girona or the beach.  Direction Girona is flat, rural, birds, cows, flowers, corn....eeeeeeeeek, pothole, splat!  Olivia took a tumble, but just before that was heard saying, "this is so much fun!"
